Recipes and Progress Always Eat After 7

This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.

Going through this process has been such a rewarding experience. Here are just a few of the nuggets I’ve been uncovering about myself and my relationship with food.

I did some food exploration to see what I actually liked. Figured out I loved certain green veggies and soups. So they are my go-to’s instead of heading to the drive-thru every time I’m hungry.

I explored times of day for eating.  I’m still trying to figure this out, but I’m no longer feel all types of shame and guilt for having my largest meal at night. I’m listening and paying more attention to my body rather than trying to control it based on someone else’s paradigm.

I also learned that the food environment matters. If I see it, I’ll eat it so I don’t even try to play myself with “Oh, I’ll just eat a little. Nah, I’m not, lol. I’m going to eat it all!” So this helps me be better about the foods I choose to eat and what I bring back into the house. I’m not going to deprive myself, but I’m also not going to lie to myself about the power of food to be a source of pleasure. I’m letting go of all that emotional baggage.

I’m still figuring out what I like to eat, but I’d like to take some bougie cooking classes to learn how to make some of these really great recipes from the book.  One of the easy-to-make ones was the loaded chili baked potato. Not only is it delicious, but it has the perfect combination of macronutrients to help stabilize blood sugar and regulate your cortisol cycle keeping your body in fat-burning mode. Yas!!
